Kate McHugh
Bachelors student
I am a final year Computer Science (BEng) undergraduate undertaking my dissertation within the Biological Computation Group. My project explores the adaptive mechanisms of MRSA, particularly the role of RNases, with the broader aim of advancing our ability to tackle antibiotic resistance. I am working on the computational aspect; developing and improving the data processing pipeline used to do this. Outside of my degree, I am involved with Hoppers (the society for women and gender minorities in Computer Science), and enjoy swimming, art, and music.
